Hull City Council and East Riding of Yorkshire Council are teaming up with Let's Experience Electric to host the area’s first electric vehicle (EV) event at the Priory Park & Ride site.

Hull City Council and East Riding of Yorkshire Council are teaming up with Let's Experience Electric to host the area’s first electric vehicle (EV) event at the Priory Park & Ride, on Saturday 21 June 2025, from 10am to 3pm.

From electric cars to buses to eBikes, find out more about the growing range of electric vehicles out there and how we can support you on your own electric journey.

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore a wide range of EVs and speak to dealers, including -

  • Evans Halshaw Fiat
  • Evans Halshaw Ford/MG Hull
  • Evans Halshaw Kia
  • John Roe Group Toyota
  • Mercedes Benz of Hull
  • North East Truck and Van
  • Riverside Motor Group
  • Stratstone BMW Hull
  • Thompsons Commercials

They will be able to test drive multiple EVs, including brands such as -

  • BMW Mini
  • Citroen
  • Cupra
  • Fiat
  • Ford
  • Jeep
  • Kia
  • Lexus
  • Maxus/Fiat vans
  • Mercedes Benz
  • MG
  • Polestar
  • Renault vans
  • Toyota
  • Volvo

In addition, they'll be able to -

  • speak to industry experts about the latest advancements in EV technology
  • ride eBikes courtesy of R-evolution and Roo Dog
  • find out more about the councils’ own EV projects, including the -
    • installation of public charging points
    • purchase and rollout of electric buses on the city’s network
  • view EV charging demonstrations from Colder Volts
  • find out about the rollout of EVs in both the public and private sectors

Who will be there

Visitors will have the opportunity to -

  • test drive a range of exciting new electric cars and bikes
  • speak to dealers
  • ask questions and learn from industry experts about the latest advancements in EV technology for work and home, including -
    • charging infrastructure
    • help support the transition to zero-emission
    • battery electric vehicles

Among those exhibiting at the event are electric vehicles from -

  • both local authorities’ fleets
  • the blue light services
  • an electric bus, courtesy of Stagecoach East Midlands
  • eBikes and cycle repairs by R-evolution
  • an electric truck used by local contractor The Ashcourt Group

An exciting range of electric vehicles will be on display from local dealerships with test drives available throughout the day.

Take a test drive

Not a problem. You'll have the opportunity to take a short test drive in multiple vehicles on the day.

On the day you will need to bring -

Test drives will be approximately 10 minutes long, with a designated route for drivers to follow, before returning to the EV pick-up area.
